ABOUT

Costanza Salini is an Italian visual artist, art director, and curator working between the Netherlands and Italy. She graduated with a BA in Photography from Willem de Kooning Academy in 2022 and has since developed a practice that moves fluidly between image-making, curatorial work, and visual identity. In the years following her graduation, she collaborated as a junior curator with the Biennale di Fotografia di Portogruaro, contributing to the development of new curatorial directions and to the conception of a photofestival in the suburban area of Venice. Her interest in the broader design process led her to expand her practice beyond photography, and in 2025 she completed an online Master’s in Art Direction at LABASAD.

Working across disciplines, Salini maintains a distinctly humanistic approach. Her personal work frequently engages with questions of representation, exploring themes such as beauty standards, marginalization, and identity. Her practice is rooted in social and cultural understanding, but it still feels very personal. She uses photography, art shows, and directing to make places where people can think. She currently manages her own creative studio in Utrecht, balancing time between personal and commercial projects, curating and designing.
